Join Project BRITE at general meetings!

Every other week, Project BRITE holds general meetings open to the public! Each meeting, members of Project BRITE will present on a different aspect of the school-to-prison pipeline. In addition to the presentation, we will have icebreakers and other opportunities for conversation aimed at fostering a sense of community. If you are interested in Project BRITE, we encourage you to attend a meeting! Meetings are Tuesdays at 6:30pm to 7:30pm (PT)! This fall meetings are on October 27, November 10, November 24, and December 8. We hope to see you there!

Volunteer with PROJECT BRITE

Normally, Project BRITE volunteers with children from underserved communities with the goal of ending the school-to-prison pipeline. Due to Covid-19, this fall we will be involved in more online activism as well as continuing to work with our community partners to contribute where we can. We will be doing online tutoring and resource distribution. Applications for this quarter are now closed.

Research with us!

The food industry, is, unfortunately, rife with human rights abuses. This can come in the form of pollution of local communities, which is an important issue in environmental justice, in the form of violation of labor rights, which is more likely to occur for lower-income workers, particularly those without citizenship, and through the use of prison labor. This quarter, we will be attempting to look through UCLA's food suppliers to ensure that our food is not utilizing prison labor. If you are interested in being involved with this, please email us here
